Gene - A gene is the fundamental unit of hereditary; it is made of DNA. A gene contains the code that a cell uses to make a protein or another specific product. They determine what inherited traits will be passed on from parent to child.
Genetic Disorder - A condition caused by a significant change (mutation) in the DNA sequence of a gene.
Genetics - The scientific study of genes and heredity to understand how diseases, conditions, and traits are transmitted from parent to child.
Goeckerman Regimen - The use of coal tar in combination with ultraviolet B light therapy in the treatment of psoriasis.
Guttate Psoriasis - This form of psoriasis is characterized by small drop like dots that appear on the skins surface, they enlarge rapidly and take on a scaly appearance. Guttate psoriasis is often found on the scalp, arms, legs, and trunk.
