Immune Response - The natural reaction of the immune system to protect against antigens invading the body, such as bacteria, viruses and foreign bodies. This response may involve either antibody production, the activation of T cells or both.
Immune System - The bodys defense system composed of cells and organs that work to protect against viruses, foreign cells and other disease-causing organisms.
Immunosuppressive - A medication that acts to suppress the normal function of the immune system.
Inflammation - A reaction of body tissues due to injury or disease. Among swelling, Inflammation is marked by heat, redness, pain, and loss of function.
Inherit - To receive genetic characteristics through the passing down of genes from parents.
Inverse Psoriasis - A type of (flexural) psoriasis found mostly in flexible folds of skin such as the arm pits, elbows, and groin. It often causes the area to become inflamed, red, and painful.
