Narrowband UVB - A type of light therapy (phototherapy) used in the treatment of psoriasis. Narrow band is less likely to cause burning to the skin because it eliminates the shorter wavelengths (intense energy levels) that are commonly used in broadband UVB therapy. Narrow band treatment exposes patients to safer levels of ultraviolet light, which may make treatment less carcinogenic.
