T
T-Cell (T-lymphocyte) - A white blood cell essential to the immune response against antigens. T-cells can act as a trigger to excessive skin cell reproduction.
Tea Tree Oil - Various Australian trees whose leaves yield an oil that has a positive therapeutic effect in the treatment of many skin conditions. Tea tree medications are effective due to their antibacterial, antiseptic and antifungal properties.
Teratogen - A toxic substance or agent that can cause a deformity in an embryo resulting in a birth defect.
Therapeutic - Having or exhibiting healing or curative qualities in the treatment of a disease or disorder.
Topical Agent - A medical substance applied directly to the skins surface, these include salve, cream or ointment.
Toxicity - Capable of causing an adverse condition, poisoning, or death by chemical means.
Trait - A physical characteristic brought about by the information on a gene or many genes. They determine a persons eye color, height, and special physical abilities.
Treatment - The management and administration of remedies to a patient with the intent to relieve illness or injury.
Trigger - Hereditary or environmental factors that can set off or initiate the onset of psoriasis.
