Vehicle - In medical terms, a substance used as the medium to convey an active medicine for administration to a patient.
Vitamin C - A very powerful antioxidant that protects other antioxidants, such as vitamin E. It also helps wounds to heal faster, maintains the integrity of capillary walls, detoxifies many harmful substances and plays a key role in helping boost immunity.
Vitiligo - An autoimmune disfiguring disease which causes destruction of pigment-producing cells (melanocytes) resulting in areas of white patches on the skin. Vitiligo may be precipitated by trauma similar to the lesions of psoriasis.
Von Zumbusch Variant - Generalized (widespread) pustular psoriasis. It usually occurs with severe illness and the onset of burning erythema. Large non infectious pustules and inflamed red skin develop at an explosive rate, pustules will usually dry up and disappear within two days. Hospitalization is often required.
Vulgaris - Meaning common, such as psoriasis vulgaris.
